A: It is recommended to use 5mm double glass because:
Sliding doors look unattractive with single glass, as there is a wide space for the glass. Using single glass would require filling excessive silicon, making it less appealing.
5mm double glass is safer than 6mm single glass.
5mm double glass offers better soundproofing compared to single glass.
Q5: Can rubber be used instead of glass silicon?
A: Yes, but it can only be used on one side. The other side must be glass silicon. Double rubber isn't strong enough and is more likely to fall off compared to glass silicon.
