A: It is advisable to use 5mm double glass because:
Sliding doors appear less attractive with single glass. The wider glass space would require excessive silicone if single glass is used.
5mm double glass is safer than 6mm single glass.
5mm double glass offers superior soundproofing compared to single glass.
Q5: Can you use rubber instead of glass silicone?
A: Yes, but only on one side. The other side must use glass silicone because double rubber lacks strength and is more prone to detachment.
