A: It is recommended to use 5mm double glass because:
Sliding doors look unattractive with single glass. The space for single glass requires excessive silicon filling.
5mm double glass is safer than 6mm single glass.
5mm double glass offers better soundproofing than single glass.
Q5: Can you use rubber instead of glass silicon?
A: Yes, but it can only be used on one side. The other side must be glass silicon because double rubber isn't strong enough and is more prone to falling off.
